Responsibilities of the service

   The department of the Juvenile Probation Service and Probation Service for Adults of Drama is under the Ministry of Justice and has the mission of protecting minors who come into contact with the justice system. Correspondingly, the service takes care of adult clients, focusing on supervising individuals with suspended sentences or restrictive conditions, organizing community service and providing psychosocial support.
   Juvenile Wardens work with the best interests of the child in mind, providing personalized psychosocial support, conducting social investigations on behalf of the judicial authorities and supervising the implementation of reformative measures. Their goal is to prevent delinquency, deter recidivism and empower minors through skills development, assuming responsibility and connecting them with the family, school and community.
   At the same time, Social Welfare Officers contribute to the implementation of alternative measures and sanctions in the community. Through systematic supervision and guidance, they promote social cohesion, individual responsibility and the smooth reintegration of citizens into the social fabric.
