Prosecutors Office to the Court of First Instance of Rodos
The Prosecutors Office to the Court of First Instance of Rhodes is housed on the ground floor of the Rhodes Judicial Court Building, an old listed public building constructed during the period of the Italian occupation, which constitutes one of the most important historical and architectural buildings of the modern city of Rhodes. It is located at Eleftherias Square and represents a characteristic example of the architectural heritage of the Italian period on the island.
The building complex was gradually developed during the period of the Italian occupation, between 1923 and 1939, and is characterised by elements of Rationalist architecture. It consists of individual buildings and wings that were integrated and used for housing administrative and judicial services.
With its imposing presence and distinctive architectural features, the Judicial Court Building constitutes an important part of the history and cultural identity of Rhodes. The history of the building is directly connected with the transformations experienced by the city during the 20th century, while it remains, to this day, one of the characteristic public buildings of the urban landscape of Rhodes.
